Film is a depiction, representation of life. Hence, when you watch a movie, you get a little more perspective on life. You can even see a fragment of life that you aren't familiar with and learn from it.

“Process of taking ideas, words, actions, emotional subtext, tone, or other forms of nonverbal communication and rendering them in visual terms.” (Sumber: britannica.com)   Perbedaan antara fotografi dan sinematografi: Fotografi ( painting with light ): membekukan pergerakan (kalaupun merekam, distortif). Sinematografi ( painting with motion ): merekam pergerakan. Pergerakan yang direkam adalah pergerakan yang bersifat kreatif dan interpretif (menerjemahkan naskah dari wujud tulisan ke dalam medium visual). Proses menerjemahkan naskah ke visual bisa berbeda jika DOP/sinematografernya berbeda.
